Army of Two: The 40th Day is a third-person shooter developed by EA Montreal and released in 2010 for PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, and later Windows. It is the follow-up to the 2008 title Army of Two and continues the cooperative-focused gameplay of the original while introducing a darker, more urban setting and a choice-driven narrative. Players control one half of a partnered mercenary duo operating in a near-future, war-torn Shanghai, struggling to survive after the city is devastated by a series of mysterious attacks.
